Never back down. Never give up. Never stop.

Live life.
At the edge of the cliff. In the eye of the storm. Near the brink of deadlines.

Hold on tight. Enjoy the ride. Woohoo!

i hav a RSS from BBC titled 'Latest Headlines' on my Firefox toolbar. As of now at 2109h, five out of the latest six read:

Riots engulf Chinese Uighur city
Obama urges shift in Russia ties
Iran 'security state' lambasted
Pope calls for UN 'with teeth'
'US strike' on Pakistani militants

So i jus spend one night at work and suddenly all the exciting things happen when i'm away... -_-

P/S: oh, the other one was abt Michael Jackson, for which i fail to see the big deal. =)

this is like, erm... really interesting...

No, it's not indicative of anything. it's just really interesting.

Journey to the East

i just got back from Tampines, where Weilong and i went for the Hokkaido Food Fair. They had this really big advert on the back page of the Life section on Fri, which i happened to read while waiting for lunch(ie. hungry), resulting in really serious cravings. So i thought, when i come back from work on Sun, i'm going to Tampines to 'whack' some Japanese food.

Unfortunately, i was the one who kena 'whacked' instead.

Firstly, the queue was dam long!

Secondly, they ran out of the ramen i'd wanted to eat!

Thirdly, things weren't as 'worth it' as they seemed to be in the photos. For example, "King Crab Bun" at $12.80 each was mainly bun with very little crab!

Fourthly, some of the food wasn't even as nice those in SG, eg. the rather lousy Takoyaki!

Fifthly, by the time i went back to the fair to buy food home for my mum, they'd closed!

Sixthly, no matter how you look at it, Tampines is really far from West Coast!

Fortunately, i had Weilong's good company there.

Verdict: If you don't stay in the East, don't go.
