If i do nothing but read ST, i'd think tt SGreans are interested in nothing besides slimming and mobile phones... If i watch nothing but TV Mobile, i'd think SG tv consists of nothing but episodes of Singapore Idol 2...

but of cos i know this isn't the case, just tt hasty and rash generalisation always gets the best of me when i proclaim "SG TV is crap, the UK one is much better", less than a year after i declared tt theresh nothing worth watching on tv in the UK...

So SG TV is not crap, though it's not exactly the most interesting entertainment media either... But one thing that impressed me tremendously about the local googlebox (do we still use tt term aft Google?) fare are the adverts. i dunno if you've noticed but SG adverts are dam interesting lar... For example, the trailers of my hated Singapore Idol 2.... In spite of hating that show, i found MOST (not all) of its trailers creative, funny, interesting, surprising (w a lite touch of lameness) and enjoyable, like the latest one featuring the 'Asian Pop' show, where they read the names of all the sponsors with a Jap accent ('Satahabu' instead of Starhub) or the one for the 'Dance' competition where they kept having little figures doing diff type of dances... All these being a far cry from those days where local adverts were bland and tasteless...

i wonder how many people out there actually notice such stuff, much less share my view... it is unfortunate but people always tend to miss the little things in life... we smell the roses but always miss out on how pretty the leaves are... =)
